Dolcetto d'Alba

Strange treat to drink a "lesser" grape like Dolcetto from so long ago - albeit one from such a great producer. This had quite a musty smell that needed to blow off, and then was quite smooth with deep mature fruit and still plenty of acid to hold it together. Nice.

Lot of funk maybe slightly corked, opened up pretty well and very drinkable and nice with braised duck. Mostly red and some dark fruit
