This is a pretty big and juicy Barolo. Darker and more intense than most it has rich fruit with plenty of plums and spices. There's the classic tar and rose present too but not the body defying intensity. Instead, the intensity is entirely consistent with the concentrated styling of this wine. Decidedly hedonistic right now.

New to me, so eager to taste. Well handled tannins for 2011, but verging on over-extraction. Obviously a 3 Biccheri wine but who gives a fuck?

Perhaps the most herbal, fennel Barolo I've ever had, and I dig it. Surprisingly accessible for an '11, but will be better in the short to mid term.
