Wow. Maybe the best Rhone value ever. Nose of dark fruit and tobacco on a good way. Palate is dark fruits. Great acidity though. Very complex. Wow.

Deep purple. Smoke in the unfiltered wine. Smells of mint, forest floor, herbs. Smooooth on the tongue, with a spicy kick. Sour cherry to finish.

What a great wine. Such a value. Nose of berry liqueur, hot stones, soil tones and some lavender. Dynamic, fresh and deep. Juicy and so persistent. Amazing drive and poise. Classy wine.

What a wine. Certainly one of the best Visan out there. Reticent nose to start off but as if opens loads of kirsch, licorice and stones. Amazing palate. So juicy and complex with amazing freshness. Deep with stunning purity and great mid palate complexity. Wow. This is a ridiculous value. I can't imagine how '15 is.

Delectable: this is Visan Cotes du Rhone AOC.

These are night 2 notes.

This is an unusually tight Southern Rhone. Tight, and not particularly exuberant ripe kirschy-cherry notes, with lots of very clean cracked stone minerality and a nice lavender floral note. Very pure and linear cherry fruit and stony mineral flavors. Some very fine-grained tannin in the finish, together with crisp acids. This will be better in a year. In the meantime, give it air.

Night 3: more complete and integrated. Still fresh, but the fruit and minerals are fusing to create more weight in the midpalate. Bumping to 9.0. But let this age, or if not, breathe "bigly."

Got a hint of bayberrry in the nose. This is a bright wine with nice acidity, rather light. This one is nice to open if u just want to sip wine sans food.
