Beautifully perfumed with a nose of dark cherry, blueberry, and violet. Wonderful minerality with almost a saline quality. Well structured; long finish. Definitely saw some oak but not overly so, with no reductive qualities—a thoroughly modern Brunello. Good now and for 8+ more years. The single-vineyard Sugarille is the best of Gaja's three 2008 Brunello offerings. #Gaja #Brunello
