Great blend of Sangiovese, Syrah and merlot. Blue and red fruits, rustic yet elegant with medium tannins and acidity. Will be coming back to this wine over and over.

Vintage 2012 / classic classy smell, rather smooth drinking with clearly quality #sangiovese #gaja

Out with son and wife and son buying dinner for father’s day - salute you son and so proud of you - as such the wine was a little better than I expected - all smiles

There's a positive herbaceous addition to the cassis, cherries and anise aromas, complemented by clever oak spice. Medium-bodied, fresh and elegant, this youthfully fruit-forward edition lacks med-palate weight but this is easily forgotten thanks to its pretty finish.

While the first sniff and sip were a bit overpowering, just a few minutes in the glass opened this wine up beautifully. Silky black and red fruits with a solid backbone of earth make this a Super Tuscan you don't want to miss.

Beautiful sangio blend. Medium bodied, opens up quickly, perfect for a light lunch. Layers of red fruit. A delight.

Monday evening and tonight I have opened the 2017 Gaja Ca' Marcanda Promis Toscana. This is a blend of 55% Merlot, 35% Syrah and 10% Sangiovese from Castagneto Carducci in Tuscany, Italy.

On the nose there is raspberry, strawberry, plum, there is a savory gamey component, baking spices, licorice, pepper, clay and earth.

On the palate I am getting cherry, raspberry, red currant, licorice, herbs, lavander, graphite and earth.

This wine is medium to full bodied with medium + acidity and medium + firm sandy tannins that has a long fresh red and black fruit finish. The week ahead looks like it is going to be a fantastic week and I am looking forward to it being full of wonderful fall beginnings. Have a great week, please be safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
