Deep ruby in color with a pinkish rim.
Out of the bottle, barnyard nose. But after two hours, sour cherries, red berries, chocolate, herbs, black pepper, blackberries and spices.
Smooth on the palate, but sour and a bit bitter with blackberries, plums, cherries, raspberries and black pepper.
Light to medium bodied with nice legs.
Tart and spicy finish with flabby tannins.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
Not to my liking. Unbalanced and bitter, But not horrible either.

This is a very nice wine coupled with food or just for sipping. For my taste it's better than the Coppola rosso of the same label. This Shiraz is tannic with nice berry flavors I'll be getting it again.

Did not know much about this wine and was very pleasantly surprised. Excellent quality, smooth and sophisticated taste. I will buy more and I hope you give it a try.

Pizza al fresco on the NY/CT border next to the veggie garden at the drive in movie. The situation makes this otherwise lackluster bottle memorable.
