A museum release from the winery purchased recently. This is a nice aged Chardonnay from Mount Barker in a viticultural area best known for its excellent Riesling and Shiraz. Mainly citrus notes with a touch of stone fruit. Sweet and textural on the medium bodied palate. Diminished acid. Drink my other bottle in the next 6 months.

Pretty good. Initially this smelled of campfire, but the palate didn’t have it. 20 minutes later the char blew off.

Beautifully balanced wood with fruit. Subtle pears. Quite round through the front and back.
