Got another taste of this gem. I’m a big fan of Tawny Ports, especially the 20 year blends. Fonseca Port was founded in 1822 and successive generations of the Guimaraens family have upheld the Company’s reputation. Nice amber color with aromas of honey and nutty notes. On the palate ripe dried fruits with sweet cinnamon spice and oak emerge from the glass. Soft texture lingering finish ending with a slight citrus character. Very nice. Tasting Sample.

Another fine effort drinking with my padre in Naples Pelican Bay Colony Shores. Great accompaniment to fine cigars. Always appreciate a fine port. 20 year tawny tasted April 2015. Cheers!

Finishes with dried dates or raisins, starts with cinnamon spice honey. Oakey scent with strong heated honey, caramel, and baked apple. Delicious.

Very smooth Lacks some of the depth of similar bottles, but makes up for it with a drinkability and clean finish.

The nose is delightful. The pallet has a chewiness to it with any residual alcohol coming through on the backnof the tongue. The finish is long. It’s not my favorite 20yo Tawny, but it’s quite tasty and worthy of another bottle.
