Nov 30th, 2019Dark, staining violet in the glass with a purple rim. Brilliant nose of black cherries, cigar smoke, and the right amount of oak. At 68% Petit Verdot and the rest Cab Franc, this is another one of Washington's Bordeaux offerings and one that totally works.
The palate shows juicy fruit and rustic notes. Strawberries and cherry spritzer along with hints of tobacco. Long finish with some spice and more of that juicy fruit. Impressive weight and balance going on here.
