Woohoo for birthday wine! It was my birthday during the week, and the wonderful Good Pair Days was all over it with this sample bottle of bubbles (thank you!!).
This First Creek Harvest Cuvée was an absolute delight to enjoy with our pre-dinner platter for my birthday. My parents pitched in and helped write my tasting note (how kind of them right 😜).
In the glass it’s a crystal lemon-lime colour with very small fast streaming bubbles. On the nose there’s whiffs of citrus, herbs, feijoas and lemongrass. While in the mouth it has nice smooth bubbles and is very much citrus driven with some peach/nectarine overtones and a lick of pear. Light and fresh - perfect aperitif tipple!
