Delicious cherries 🍒 dried herbs 🌿 licorice, potpourri, cedar 🪵 sweet tobacco, and baking spices. Nicely balanced. Structure is strong with medium(+) acidity and tannins, high alcohol (14.5% ABV), and concentrated aromas and flavors. Medium body. Medium(+) finish.

A great reminder of why I like nebbiolo and barbaresco in particular so much. Beautiful light red in the glass. With an hour decant the aromas of delicate dark red fruit and earth come through. Very nice body. Great acid on the finish but perhaps a bit of rusticity with some slightly chunky tannins. Great with meatballs.

Dynamite nose of earth and flowers, then a serious attack of tar and fruit, darker fruit in the mouth than the nose, but light bodied, nice solid tannins to finish. It seemed to have surprisingly mature flavors for '11. Excellent Barbaresco
