Top Notes For
"Odedi"

Deep ruby in color with a light purple /brick rim.

On the nose, cherries, blueberries, red currants, tart plums, bell pepper, oak, licorice, cloves, spices, vegetables, vinaigrette, light vanilla, pencil lead, peppercorn, chocolates and coffee.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, sour cherries, strawberries, tart raspberries, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, oak, spices, green pepper, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, vegetables, wet rocks and tobacco.

Medium finish with soft tannins and tart cranberries.

This 10 year old Spanish red is drinking nicely now, with nice complexity, but not fully balanced. Shows a nice, soft mouthfeel with light vegetable notes. Still has enough fruits, but better to drink it sooner than later.

Good by itself and better with food. Needs 2 to 3 hours in a decanter to open up properly.

Aged in French oak for 18 months.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

Stubborn and disintegrated on day one but on day two this really came around and lived up to the 94RP score.
