I typically don’t buy sweet or even off-dry wines. However if I’m having some sort of spicy, chilli fuelled dish, then they’re my preference! This @ferngrovewines 2017 Aromatic Off-Dry Riesling is from the Frankland River in the Great Southern wine region. Approx $20 per bottle and 11% abv.

It’s a pale lemon/lime colour on the eye. Beautiful floral aromatics come through on the nose alongside orchard fruits, lime zest and minerality. In the mouth, freshly cut pineapple and apple tease the taste buds. It’s elegantly off-dry with a slight fizz which made it both approachable with or without food in my opinion.
