Somlo Muscat Ottonel

Wonderful old Muskat-Ottonel from Somló (Pieroth bottling). Golden with streaks of Amber; strong scents of candied pineapple, orange zest, mango (skin, flesh, and stone), with hints of pear brandy, marzipan, and honey blossom; well balanced sweetness and acidity but lacking a bit of a backbone (like a sweetish auslese). Still, it's keeping remarkably well. Will probably run for a few decades more before it starts diving!
