Popped and poured. Wine appears bright ruby color with a transparent core and a slightly watery rim; medium viscosity. On the nose, medium+ intensity…bursting with bright cherry and raspberry fruit, licorice, dusty gravel, and spices. On the pallet, the wine has tremendous sweet ripe fruit confirming the cherry and raspberry. The wine is truly fresh. Tremendous texture. Finish is long. Medium tannin; medium+ acid. This is a lovely wine and a significant step up from the non-Riserva bottling. Likely the best from Chianti Rufina that I can ever recall having. “Bucerchiale” is only produced when the vintage warrants.
