Evening Land Vineyards
Summum Seven Springs Vineyard Chardonnay
Took time to open and display a distinct Burgundy persona that picks up weight after being more Chablis at the start. Still tart with apple, lemon and melon flavors driven by the sur lie aging, saline and light mineral. Displays clean, fresh oak with cashew and vanilla. Impressive. Definitely distinctly lighter weight than CA Chardonnay

Nov 30th, 2018I absolutely love Evening Land and this Chard is above and beyond amazing! Burgundy essence, light fruits, oak, and soft florals.

Mar 13th, 2014Just a stunning wine. Utterly complex and pleasure inducing. Oh what's that you say? You don't like Chardonnay? STFU and put some of this in your glass and then talk to me. If you still say you don't like Chardonnay then honestly, I don't think I want to talk to you anyways.
I don't like Chardonnay... what a farce. Hahahahahahahaha. I laugh in your uneducated face.
Sorry... A little cathartic release there. Back to the wine.
On the nose we have a veritable bouquet of flowers along with crushed rock, peach, and a touch of barrel spice.
On the palate the wine is scintillating with lively acidity and absolutely explodes with flavor.
The finish is most intriguing with a certain savory component that lingers almost indefinitely.
A real stunner.
