Aug 21st, 2019Always enamored by Eric Pfifferling’s wines but they are so hard to find. They all have a sense of quiet intensity, like the heat radiating off rocks when they are in the sun. But this doesn’t necessarily translate into “heat” in the alcohol sense.
First time trying this cuvée for me. Mourvèdre and Carignan blend rosé. Mix of red berries and ruby grapefruit notes on the palate. Floral on the nose. Savory finish with a hint of olives. Never disappointed! Paired with grilled lamb chops and couscous.

Aug 24th, 2020Little stinky (throughout) and alcohol a little out of balance (high). Beyond that, showed nice tropical (guava, papaya) and orchard (peach, apricot) fruit notes. Day 3 update drinking better than day 1, impressive.
