Tintorera means the flesh as well as the skin of this grape is red burn the label is misleading in its trumpeting the wine as garnacha. In fact it is Alicante bouschet, a grape that is a hybriddeveloped in the 1860s with one parent grenache. The grape struggles to ripen so this wine has zippy acidity and lively cranberry, strawberry, violet and cassis flavors. It finishes a bit short but overall it's a delightful if not terribly serious find

Loads of fruit depth. Started with black cherry and blackberry. Some blueberry and then strawberry come out as it opened up. Lots of acidity, so it works great with food.

Garnacha from the Canary Islands. Super fresh with tons of acidity and best with food!

Chewy with cherry notes. Rustic, but it somehow had a lengthy finish that I didn't expect.

Dangerously drinkable. But I'm a sucker for fruity in the front with high acidity, but would like a little more body in the back on this one. Either way still goes down a treat. Easy drinkin with weighty cheese. Great value! Will def buy again.

Last night we enjoyed some fine Spanish Red. If it was not for being travel tired in Phoenix from the East Coast, a second bottle could have been ordered. This paired well with a Bone In Ribeye and fine Italian Charcuterie. The Fennel Sorpressata was amazing with this fine Wine.
