Superb as always. Nose of spice, bright cherries, juicy and deep with amazing rich liaison like fruit and such incredible depth. So wonderful and clean. Fresh but not hugely acidic. Just perfect. So juicy. Balanced and refined. Long and so pure. Just one of the best roses in the world.

I’m not one who’s usually for ageing rose, but this is an exception. It’s really got the backbone of a red. The color is not as vivid as it was a few years ago but the nose is great: ripe cherry, smashed musky flowers, a little wet gravel. In the mouth, it’s intense, with rich cherry fruit and lots of long, savory cling. Remarkable length. Good, but not high acids. This would be a great choice with many Chinese stir fries.

NOTE: make sure you let the sediment (there is a lot) settle out and then carefully decant this, unless you’re ok with cloudy wine.

Second bottle from a six pack. Interestingly enough, picking up some wood on the palate tonight, but that does not detract from the oh so jammy qualities. Bright fruits and flowers, oh so complicated and structured, but so easy to drink. This is a long haul Rosé, easily forgotten about in the corner of your cellar, like and old friend, always happy to greet you no matter how long you've been apart.

I've had domestic (US) pinot's that don't ever come close to the amazing color or quality of this Rosé, from Baden, Germany. WOTN every time, and tonight was the total crowd favorite. If I had $1 for each time someone said they'd never seen red wine from Germany and that this tastes like something otherworldly, I could be buying this stuff by the pallet and be a very happy man.

From natural wine makers Enderle & Moll. Red crunchy fruit. More Pinot Noirish than Rose. Lovely. Kept until the third day and still showing great.

Decanted ~4hr, more time needed.

Color is cloudy, tawny garnet.

Nose has Maraschino cherry juice, violet, red rose and crushed red raspberry.

Palate has strawberry mash, red apple skin, creamy wood notes (almost like fresh whipped cream without sugar), grapefruit level acidity and a never giving up finish.

This wine, it's still too young but damn it's enjoyable!

Medium amounts of sediment in this bottle when decanted carefully, yet still lightly cloudy on the double decant for service this afternoon. Part of an epic E&M based afternoon plan as we sit by the chimnea on a beautiful early Spring day. The Gold Finches, Pine Siskins and Junco's are providing quite a background chorus.

This has finally come around. Stunning nose of floral, citrusy, bright berry, aged fresh meadow, gamey, feral, wild, alive. Gorgeous. Palate has terrific energy and purity. Lovely sweet fruit and savory flavors. Complex and elegant. Lovely.

E & M Rose's are awesome 😎. Alas the 13'is the most difficult one to evaluate and taste. Underripe sour prunes. The ones you plug from the tree way to early. Wild rose 🌹 hips. Hagebutten. The stuff which is used for yam in northern Europe. Hint of Gruyere cheese. Although 4 years old this might still need more time to mellow out. Almost orange in color. I will keep this for another 3-4 years.

Orange! Dark for a Rose. The classic E&M herbs on the nose thyme, rosemary,...boy this one looks spectacular just buy it for the color? Complex and long slightly bitter, fresh, acidic, lime, forest strawberries and a little elderberry on the back palate. Would pair super well with stinky cheese or really anything. Could be mistaken for a cocktail with some drops of a bitter. I would think this needs to be aged - man is this awesome💥💥💥. A stand out for a Rose there is nothing like it out there. I have no idea how Sven and Florian do this - the most complex rose ever. Therefore very highly rated. But alas more for geeks the crazy ones, the square pegs....others might be disappointed by this really unique beast. I should have bought cases.....
