Elena Walch's Lagrein is like no other. Elegant and not a tannin bomb. Gorgeous.

Rich, full body and worth searching for. Elena makes excellent wines.

Fruity with strong body and clean finish. Ausgezeichnet

Reminded me of Teroldego. Has a nice spine of savory herbal notes, firm but not too firm tannins. A bit of bitter on the finish.

Dry deep garnet to almost inky. Has very nice nose with dark stone fruit and earthiness. Nice body with plum and smoke with great acid/tannin balance. Nice, smooth long lasting finish.

Minerally. Nice structure. Black fruits. Some pepper. Enjoyable.

I was surprised at the deep red of this Lagrein. Fruit and spice on the nose, red fruit in the mouth with a note of dried fruit and chocolate and a slightly smoky note. Full, rich superbly balanced withe lingering soft tannins and a long finish.
