The ‘16 was better, and not just because I consumed it in Sedona, AZ (although that helped). Funny that the label claims that the contents are “balanced” when that’s my number one complaint here: it’s not balanced at all—big fruit and tart funk just colliding and making a damn mess.

Feb 11th, 2020Nose has oak and cherry notes. Dark red cherry, vanilla, cedar box, and violet throughout. Could use some more time to mellow out — the acid is a bit intense and at times it tastes a little hot. The alcohol could stand to settle down a bit. Great with a flank steak and chimichurri sauce.
