Barrel Fermented Valle De Uco Torrontes

Citrus peel and some flowery notes on the nose. Bright acidity that doesn't meld completely with the oak treatment. Should probably be cellared longer.

Interesting & really balanced with oak aging. Delicate apples, lemon & vanilla

Nose of flint, roasted nuts. Grapefuit, meyer lemon, melon rind and dust. Really complex and wonderfully executed

I guess I'm just used to the pure fruit aspect in traditional Torrontes ( no oak) this is very ripe and can handle the oak fermentation (3 months) medium toast French barrels. Probably barriques. Although the bright crisp rounded flavors of non oak is better.

I like it, but the reduction note is a tad overpowering.

Powerfully floral on an unexpectedly light, chalky, linear background. Pure and with deceptive power, this is wow for the $$ and so different...Riesling meets Chablis in a dry place.

Barrel ferment is obvious for this torrontes. Light notes of petrol on the nose but torrontes on the palate.

Interesting style of wine, decent body, but lacking acid. The barrel fermentation made me miss the crispness I was hoping for. Couldn't hold up to a spicy curry. But still fun to try.
