Light yellow in color.

Very pretty nose with citrus, oak and spices.

Dry on the palate with medium plus acidity.

Nicely balanced and elegant. Rich and delicate. Feels like a white Burgundy.

Good by itself or with food. Just wonderful and delicious.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 45 minutes of airtime. Will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$85.

Served double blind. The wine appears a very pale, golden color with medium viscosity. Medium+ intensity and quite attention grabbing. Notes of pear, white peach, citrus fruit, minerals, white flowers and some hard to describe non-fruit characteristics that I was having a hard time pinning down…something herbaceous? On the palate, again pears, white peach, and limestone minerals. High acid. Long and satisfying finish. I called Chenin Blanc from Vouvray mostly because it had a very Loire feel to it…but I didn’t love my pick…mostly because I didn’t get the lanolin thing that I usually get from Chenin. Totally forgot about the possibility of Sancerre from a producer like Vacheron. Wow. And now that the glass is empty I’m getting a faint whiff of pyrazines. This was really good and now I need more Vacheron in my life!

All the herbs and spice you could ever want, but with some wonderful nuances. Passion fruit and lime zest sing in the upper register above a subtle layer of smoky flint. Minerality that builds and lingers on the palate, finishing with a savory salinity. Superb.

Domaine Vacheron, as per usual, does not let down. I am more impressed with the price/quality levels of the AVA Sancerre for its crisp freshness but intrigueing simplicity. But this is truly "Turn't Up like a Mutha Truckah". Slate Chalkrock and bright fruit tones of white cherries. Mineralogy and acidity roided out on this. Crisp yet rich. Bomb bomb level 5

One of the coolest most expressive Sancerres I've ever had. Passion fruit, citrus, herbal notes, kiwi, amazing acid and downright amazing. Thanks Doug!
