After going deep in New California Mourvedre, sometimes you have to check back in with the roots. Herbal and gamey with a denser core of fruit - the pro who watches the young 'uns dance around the ring with their fancy footwork, then lays 'em out with one perfectly placed jab.

Initial notes of soot and caramel. A lovely cool palate with Dry powdery tannins to finish off. If not 100% Mourvèdre it must be close to it. From the warm Mediterranean coast in Bandol. After nearly 3 hours in the decanter the Wine elicited aromas of Lavender and Thyme with hints of raisin. Loved it.

Tinge of purple to the colour. Notes of feral barnyard, lavender and violets. Medium bodied with noticeable tannins to finish off. Excellent and savoury. Love these warm climate European wines from the Mediterranean Coast.

Intense core of fruit, within a cage of iron and meat. Savory dusty herb component, high toned aromatics. Velvet texture makes this a supple treat.

Aromatic red fruit, sweet tabacco and black tea. Oh so smooth, low tannins, long taste becomes a little sweet. Top, drink it now!
