Les Auvonnes au Pépé Bourgogne Aligoté

I really enjoyed this. It reminded me more of a village level chard than a Bourgogne Aligoté. Had a nice weight to it and loads of citrus with a piercing minerality.

Sadly this was oxidized.

Intense & rich but mineral and refreshing. Great value for money in the grand scheme of things. Very drinkable !

Green apple and wet stone nose. Complex wine with green apple and hazelnut, full-bodied, and smooth lingering saline finish.

Outstanding Aligoté

A gorgeous showing. Hard to imagine Aligote being better. 2014, drink up.

Third of four. Way creamier, more identifiably Burgundian, Chablisienne. A delicious wine with less acidity and a more supple feel, very reminiscent of the seaside, with perhaps less long term potential? Perhaps just this one bottle.
