Champ de Cour Moulin-à-Vent Gamay

Awesome nose. Finally opening up. Dark cherry and berry fruit and wonderful granite. A sense of deepness and richness as well. Hulking aromas. Super impressive palate with huge juicy black fruits but also top notch finesse and elegance. So complex and mineral with palate staining fruit. So pure. Wow. Big ripe tannins melded with black fruits and so much granite. Finishes with minerals but also a kiss of black cherry and blackberry. Superb balance and refinement while also being a typical big MAV

Haven’t had a Rottier wine in a minute. Dusty nose. Some cherry. Cassis. A nice richness. Really mineral. Seems closed but will open type of nose. Palate is lively and pure with a classic expression of 14 with crackling juicy dark fruit but slathered with minerality and so so refined. Showing so well. Structure to burn but really a great MAV.

It was much enjoyed alongside Brie & Camembert, but I wish I would have held on to this one a bit longer.
