Deep, rich and ripe nose of loads of stones, black cherry, dark roses, violets, earth, bittersweet cocoa, and that classic Pommard stoniness. Ultra deep. Almost like a compote on the nose. Palate is dark, juicy, sleek and slippery. Super concentrated but never heavy. Terrific, delicious fruit that is backed up by superb stoniness. Exceptional purity and wonderful freshness and balance. This is a brooding bottle of wine that really balances power, ripeness and grace. This needs some air and i’ll be back but truly a phenomenal wine.
