A little less than a year since I’ve had this. Firing on all cylinders. Smoke, granite, blueberry flower, blueberries, violets. Stunningly pure nose. Awesome. Palate is wonderful. Balanced and fresh with good complexity. Really long and lovely grippy velvety tannins. Awesome acids. Really well made and showing just awesome. Finish is all granite and stones. Terrific berry fruit on the palate and the finish lingers.

This is having a great moment. Smoke, olives, dark berry fruit, blueberry. Huge granite and deep mineral tones. Juicy, so fresh, deep and concentrated with outrageous purity and a long finish. Loads of medium to dark berry fruit and really really long finish and also serious structure. What a showing. This has got 15+ years ahead of it but is fun today. These wines will last a long time.

@Lyle Fass this is pitch perfect St. Joseph: immediacy and depth at the same time. Earlier vintages were good, but not as good as Marc Sorrel wines. Now, it seems like the son has caught up with the father!

Big, ripe nose with tons of mineral. Really refined. Also a bit closed aromatically. Palate is glorious. So elegant yet deep and concentrated with amazing granite minerality. Huge concentration. Tiny berry fruit intensity. So pure and so deep. Amazing detail. Suave tannins. Nose opens up after a bit with deep mineral and wet earth. Stunning wine.
