Hameau de Blagny Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

No formal notes but gorgeous, expressive and so finessed.

Julien cruchandeau puligny Montrachet premier cru hameau de blagny. 2014. Stunning wine. Amazing fruit with incredible acidic balance. Rich. Will last for decades. Still a baby but so juicy good. Bought from Fass selections.

Out of this world. Julien's first Puligny. Classic nose of grilled hazelnuts, iodine, white flowers, Meyer lemon, tiny bit of oak spice and a nice slather of limestone minerals. So pretty and precise. Palate has that high pitched Cruchandeau acidity upon opening. Needs 30 minutes at least to integrate. Young but so concentrated and deep. Amazingly clean, precise and structured. So long and persistent. More about minerality, structure than fruit now but this is an absolute stunner.

Slightly corked on the nose

Nose is Smokey. Hint of lemon zest. I think it’s closed Palate is a show stopper. Blind I might guess grand cru chablis. Explosively mineral with bright as the sun minerality. Awesome perfect sweet lemon fruit. This wine is going to cost a zillion dollars once the collectors catch on. Bought from Fass Selections. ... 2 hours in the nose is progresssing. Hard to describe. My guess is this needs 2 more years.
