2009 vintage. Would benefit from aging but more than approachable now. Early had notes of darker fruit like plum blackberries and cassis. As it opened over the course of 2 hours it became more complex as slight acidity started to come out and the fruit forwardness backed off giving an intellectually interesting complexity combine with a medium body in the mouth.

Too young to appreciate fully, a bit rigid but opens up slowly after 2 hours. Beautiful wine, so Volnay in style
