Côtes du Rhône Red Rhône Blend

Nearly black in the glass with a deep purple rim. Scents of black plum, cured green and black olives, orange pulp and smoky bramble dominate the nose. The palate is a deep and luxurious expression of ripe black and red fruit flavors followed by dried meat tones and sweet herbs. This powerful blend is boosted by supple acidity and the wine finishes with subtle tannins. This is the description but does not drink that well.

Enjoyable cotes

Nice bright fruit flavors of cherry and Sark red fruits. Nice grittiness and earthiness. Jolly rancher finish.

This is a very, very bizarre wine. Odd candied fruit on the nose, a sharpness underlining all the way through with hazelnut butter heavy in the palette. Blind I would think this a rogue piedmont winemaker.. carbonic? Unsure.

Ripe and fruity but clean and balanced for pleasant drinking.

Yum. Nothing new to say that hasn't already been said about this one. It's been dreary and raining where I am and this is perfect to sip on while "Netflix and chilling."

Just fine for Tuesday night.
