Côtes du Rhône Villages Seguret Red Rhone Blend

A great example of why I am buying less and less from the Southern Rhône, thanks to climate change. Thick and blocky, little fragrance to speak of. A bit scorchy and bitter in the mouth. Meh.

What is happening in the Southern Rhône (for most of my life one of my favorite regions) makes me very sad.

Soft elegant rose petals, with hints of sage. A falls garden of a nose.
Crushed seedy bush fruit, Pernod, slate, citrusy tannins.
A wine that likes the end of a day that likes the wine.
