In order to be fair to this wine, I have to put aside predispositions about what Beaujolais SHOULD be like. Because this is a monster wine. Fully saturated color. Intense nose has dark crunchy dark cherry/berry fruit, intense cracked granite minerality. Massively concentrated flavors in the mouth. Tannic too. While finesse isn’t a word I’d use with this one, it avoids the blocky heaviness of a lot of 15s. Peppery heat peaks through in the finish. Pretty decent acidity.

What a nose. Hugely floral with a pastille quality. Compelling. Lavender even. So so good. Good ripe fruit. Late season red cherries. You can sense the warmth but under all of it is intense granite minerality. Palate is deep and vibrant with rich, complex and concentrated fruit. Terrific freshness and balance. Awesome purity and great length. Too young now but this has it all. One one the better 15’s I’ve tasted. Really well made. Amazing structure and depth. Super impressive. Wow.
