Good but not great. I seem to have trouble hitting this wine at the right time.

The richness and extract are hiding the acid but overall the wine is wonderful

Savory triple cream Brie cheese, honey poured over tart lemons cut up. Jasmine rice, hazelnut/walnut. Florals come in last with orange blossom. Really tart at first and after about 12 hours it softens and opens up (had about half the bottle gone when it went to the fridge). With this age this wine would benifit from a decanting I think to really open the layers up. Just pour it all back in and give it about 20 minutes. Savennieres is always elevated alcohol (14%) so it finishes pretty dry. Producer usually keeps things below the 5-6 g/l range. I’m always skeptical at first but this wine wins me over in the end every time.

Honeysuckle, violets with pear and golden delicious apple. Ground nuts and earthy cheese rind. Great length and cut.
