Here's why I love Sauvignon Blanc so much: you can buy a bottle that hits every mark that the varietal should hit and is a benchmark representation of that style for an entry-level price. This is a perfect, textbook example of SauvBlanc: persistent (but not sloppy) nose balanced equally to the citrus, herbal, and floral sectors of the aroma wheel, but overwhelmingly green and vegetal. Covering all of these scents is a very real clean-linen aroma! The palate has ripe Meyer lemon, canned-peas, honeydew melon, green apple, and white-flower perfume. Tons of minerality! This is wine that should be used to teach French SauvBlanc! Delicieux!

Bouquet of tangelo rind, with a hint of mandarin and rose petals. Mid tongue tangy finish. High acidity without the heartburn. This is the wine the French dab behind their ears and knees after an apres day drink lunch before returning to work.

Green yet in balance. Nice citrus qualities and a little more full fleshed thanks to the Chardonnay. Great wine for a hot day without going too expensive or too pungent.

2014. Nose full of gooseberry and grass, slightly less aggressive in the mouth than the nose promises. Lots of pucker and grapefruit. Slightly round from lees. Atypical for Loire SB.
