Crisp, fresh, with the typical Jura oxidation. Great cheese wine!

It smells like wet stones splashed on a cold winter night on the eastern seaboard. If the ink that was used to sign the Declaration of Independence had a flavor, it would taste like this.

Same vinification as Sous Curon except fermentation in tank at temperature below 22 Celsius by cooling coils. Lifted aromatics of tangerine, dried pear, lemon zest, mushroom and crushed stone, lemon rind. Searing acidity 13% abv long finish.

My virgin voyage with savagnin. Described by the somm as “gewurtzraminer’s bigger, badder cousin” from the Jura. I hear that.

Fleur de Savagnin 2011(Ouillé)
Dominant character on the nose is floral, white flowers, mineral lemon, very light notes of white peach & almond.
Palate is bone dry with zesty grapefruit and stone/saline drying character, saps at the palate from the off but has a mineral weight with high acidity. (V good food match - cheese & escargot)

Beautiful reduction, the '14's are really shining for Tournelle, great to see.

This domaine is just getting better & better, really love the combination of reduction/acidity/intensity, really great stuff.

Sharp. I'll come back and think about it more. That complex I guess
