Very pretty plumminess with a hint of stems. Flowers, violets. Delicious. Still young

Over the weekend we had the pleasure of opening the 2020 Domaine De La Côte Bloom's Field Pinot Noir from Lompoc, California.

On the nose there is cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cinnamon, clove, baking spice and dry dusty earth.

On the palate there is cherry, strawberry, raspberry, spice, hibiscus, vanilla and forest floor.

This wine is medium bodied with a smooth fresh mouthfeel medium + mouthwatering acidity and medium fine tannins that lead to a long red fruit earthy finish. On this Wednesday heading over the hump towards the weekend let us all remember all the good things that we have and family and friends we dearly cherish. Have an exciting rest of your week in hopes the weekend will refresh our hearts. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Recreation of “Judgement of Paris II” blind Pinot tasting with the addition of a bonus wine from the Central Otago:
pale ruby • unfortunately this bottled was corked • the structure suggests more of an Old World style, only 12.5% ABV • product of sommelier Raj Parr and winemaker Sashi Moorman

Proof Burgundian styled Pinots are possible to attain in CA. Haunting pomegranate, round cherries, and a pop of dark raspberries. Rustic, woody spices akin to those of Pommard; and a fascinating note that I can only describe as a garden after a summer rain.

I can honestly say that I can't remember having anything better out of California and at 12.5% it's hard to put down the glass

Good Pinot but a little too hyped up in my opinion. Cheers. Great nose, good on the pallet; good wine just my expectation may have been too high.

Ordered off the list at The Compound in Santa Fe. Deep dark brooding color. Has the funk in the nose. Notes of bright fruit, bing cherry, forest floor, sliced mushrooms and smoked meat. Could easily be guessed as old world given its style and funk. With air it blossoms and shows its full peacock. Really good juice. My first de la Cote wine and certainly not my last.
