Ouch...was awfully tight out of the bottle. Needed time to open up and was worth the wait. Wonderful balance and structure. More time in the bottle would yield some really good funk.

2011. Wonderful. Syrah drips luscious fruit. Smoke leather fireplace suede horse manure.

A bit overripe for me. Kind of dense and pruny. Finishes a bit hot.

This is a great example of cndp however I opened this about 10/15 years to early, this vintage smacked me in the face with rich dark fruit and spice, decant and leave for some time to truly enjoy if your drinking it early!!!

Moderate ruby color in the glass. Dried cherry, red licorice, smoked meat, and garrigue evident on the nose. Like many ‘11 CdP’s, a bit lighter on the palate but still with nice red fruit, pleasant minerality, and just a hint of tannin. Blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and 5% Cinsault from 80 year-old vines. 15% alcohol.

Delicious bottle. Let it open up for two hours. Balanced and all the right stuff going on. Wish I had more.

Very full and round. Quite a tasty mouthful! If anything, this verges on overripe. My wife's initial comment is "Delicious!"
