Currant-y fruit, subtle dried meat, mineral, and not much else. The wine seems to be somewhat shut down at this point.

Somewhat closed Pinot Noir, well made but not that flavorful. The nose is spectacular, and the tannins are completely smooth, but the flavor is so muted as to be barely discernible. Good but too expensive.

👄 On the palate, this wine is dry with medium acidity, and a medium+ intensity in flavors such as ripe cherry, strawberry, vanilla, coconut, cedar, clove, leather, violets, earl grey tea. Nice complexity and balance. It has a medium body and medium level of alcohol and a long, elegant finish.

This is a beautiful Burgundy from one of my favorite regions — Côte de Beaune — in the Côte d’Or, which brings back magical memories traveling and exploring with loved ones. These sips take me back. 🙏🙏
