Vintage 2021 | Bottle variation in this 20 y old Ladoix. I poured away a bottle down the sink and gave another to my daughter. The wine is okay, she told me. A risotto with truffles seemed an appropriate dish to try the last bottle. Brown colour. Tertiaire notes of course, I like that. The smell gives a beautiful broad expression of flint and minerals. Soft acidity. Quite enjoyable. An old Lady.

Aug 15th, 2021Vintage 2001 - a #Ladoix #pinotnoir in it’s last days. The smell has become very small, brushwood. A smooth taste, a bit tired, it has lost its tension. Enjoyable nevertheless. Must be drunk.
