Tasted blind. Almost opaque. Dark and murky, with tan, lighter rims. Big nose. Notes of black fruit, rhubarb, cola and some black soil. Rich in the mouth. Long finish. Guessed mid 80s Griotte. I liked this more then others.

Dec 8th, 2019Bricking red and amber. Translucent but darker and more color than the 78 DRC next to it. Notes of dark fruit, hickory, figs, cooked rhubarb and spicy cherries. Great texture in the mouth. Hit its apex at 6+ hours of air and had a richness that powered along all night. Whereas the DRC had a better nose, this was more about the round tannins that matched a great core of fruit.

Jul 22nd, 2017Tasted blind. Tawny reddish ruby color. Translucent and looks a little old. Spicy fruity nose suggests Pinot. Rich and balanced. Nice. Great old burg but have had a better version of this in the last year.

Dec 4th, 2016Orange red, translucent color. Sweet cherry dominates the nose but over 4 hours with more air the wine added other elements like rhubarb, soil, and spice. Rich mouth feel with rounded tannins, and with air it developed bigger structure. This wine still has great experiences to deliver. People guessed 1990 vintage

Dark and pure. A bit stinky with a gnarly intensity at first and then opening out. Some dusty elements but underbrush and lovely fruit still. This is pretty damn profound.
