I've been having Pinot noir and Syrah every other night and needed a Change of pace. This did the trick. Great spice. Hint of chocolate. Lovely balanced fruit. Vive Le difference. Made me happy. Bought from Fass selections.

Nice change of pace. A bit reduced upon opening. Through that is dark berries, some cigar tobacco, damson earth, spices and complex minerality. Terrific aromas. Palate is round and juicy upfront with excellent acidity and becomes more full bodied and dense on the finish with imposing tannins. Super mineral finish. So juicy for such a large framed wine. Ample volume here and it hints at a long life as these are known to age. As it opens there is a lovely mineral/stone/wet moss aroma.
