Pretty dark. (& pretty). Smells nice. Violet candies and plum compote. Flavors are ripe. Hints of fig and something with nutmeg and such in it. Maybe figgy puddings? Plenty of berries too. It’s not austere and complex with that sage and cypress woodsy zing that some Rhône has. But it’s great tasting red for a good price. Hits the right notes and hits the spot.

Really nice inexpensive cotes du Rhône! A little jammy and slightly spicy. Overall very nice. Don’t cellar this, drink it with some good spicy food.
