Been a minute since I had this. Nose is funky and reductive. Some mint, some leather but big time cheesy funk. As air enters the equation this becomes more bramble, granite infused and spicey. Palate is elegant and super raspberry and cranberry fruited with nice drying but ripe tannins. Good freshness. Very juicy and balanced.

Somewhat damson, spicey, earthy, mineral, lovely wet earth, palate is juicy and lively with nice sweet blackberry fruits that cuts a swath on the palate with loads of minerals. Clean and linear with nice acids and freshness. Very serious wine. Can go 5-8 more years. Very nice now. Acids really bring the thunder on the Finish and lift the fruit.

Dec 22nd, 2017Screaming Mimi of a nose. Big red fruits and some barnyard. Cherry cough drop. Dried leaves. Very nice. Expressive. Palate is juicy and vibrant and almost citrus like in its intensity. Clean with red fruits and nice length and good noble tannins. Really impressive showing.

Oct 10th, 2016Nose of cherry lipstick, smoke, flowers, earth, skoche of brett to make it interesting. Even some barely there coffee grounds. Some old leather as well. Terrific aromatic complexity out of the gates with promising more. Palate is fully complex and juicy with great cut form the strong acids, but upon pop and pour the nose is more ready to go than the palate which needs 40-80 minutes in my estimation. There is abundant tannin but balanced by explosive fruit. It's all there but closed and unforgiving when popped and poured. After 3 hours this was glorious with great complexity and soaring aromatics.

Oct 31st, 2015Hoo boy some funk on the nose. Bretty. I think it will blow off. Big fruit on the palate with lovely purity and freshness. Terrific thrust and energy. Love this and will open up. Got much better aromatically and with air.
