Slightly oxidation, but in a beautiful way. Soft on the pallet with hints of pear and apple. Will handle food remarkably well.

Cooked apple, ripe pear, perfume and toast! M+ acid and intensity. Long finish. Lives up to the reputation and name.

Really something special, the lees have integrated into this wine soo much I have nothing to compare it to. Plus it is the year I graduated high school!

Disgorged in 2005. Many consider '76 a turning point of a vintage. This was the last harvest in Champagne before the new clones came online in force, and a preview of early harvest conditions to come. This bottle was light gold, very Burgundian- nearly Batard like in weight and intensity, but still vivacious and mineral on the long finish. Wow!

My wine of the morning! Effortlessly integrated, spectacularly complex and yet still lively, fresh and easy. It takes the strong yeast taste of DP a long time to integrate, but when it does in a magnum like this- Wow! At The Relais & Chateau vertical of Dom Perignon with chef de cave Richard Geoffroy. Now called "P3" instead of Oenotheque.

Simply the best wine made by Dom- layered, deep mineralogy and complexity of fresh citrus, stone fruits and some lovely tropical notes. Long life ahead and one of the best 96's tasted.

Disgorged 2002. Very soft, light mousse. Deep yellow/gold. Stewed apples on the nose, same on palate. Tarter than I'd imagined. Very good length.

A lifted precise nose with white flowers, limestone, oyster shells. Bright and clear. Increasingly saline. This is excellent. Perhaps not the stuffing for serious age but bursting with minerals and class.

First p2 experience. Loved the laser beams! Hard to believe these grapes are 17 years old.
