What a tremendous disappointment this was. Zippy, bouncy bubbles culminating in a flat palate. This wine should be so.much better for.the notoriety, name and vintage.

Iced down and too cool upon popping the cork. A briney, smoky, creamy citrus florality weighted lightly with airport tarmac - rubber and diesel. Compellingly faceted - a perfect bubbly for this October beach dinner.

1 day old-crushed yellow apples, maple brioche, moms cinnamon bread w/ fresh butter, bruised pears. Piercing acidity like biting into a fresh green apple but layered with cream somehow. Full of tension yet so precise. One of the best DP's I've tried.... makes me want to wait 15+ years for the 2002! Happy Canadian thanksgiving! 😊

Starting to open up, not feeling guilty about cracking it early.
