Classically profiled Loire chenin while remaining comfortable enough in its bones to claim itself from PNW.

Chenin on the frame of muscadet, but all the detail is there.

Yellow white in color. Floral, spice, green fruit and citrus notes in nose, some diacetyl and wood as well. Lemon peel note in mouth, green apricot and orange on finish with slight skin astringency. Almost bone dry. Candied orange peel aftertaste. Great food wine

This Portland-based winery led by husband and wife team @Thomas Monroe and @Kate Monroe ventured into Washington's Yakima Valley to source fruit for this demi-sec ode to the Loire. Zippy acidity perfectly balances the white peach sweetness and silica-driven silky texture. Makes a delicious companion for spicy, herbaceous dishes.

Whoa, this is some pretty impressive domestic Chenin! Probably the first one I've had from the US that was really to my tastes. Great classic Chenin-y honeyed richness. Honestly not too dissimilar from a decent Savennieres but it doesn't feel like it's trying to *be* Loire Chenin either. Pours a pale to medium (-) gold hue. Medium (+) concentration of aromatics of ripe, slightly bruised peach and green apple, an almost smoky crushed stone minerality, waxy honeycomb, savory leesiness, and wet wool. On the palate, again there's (slightly less) ripe and slightly bruised peach and green apple, with this addition of a slight preserved lime edge. More minerality, waxy honeycomb, and savory leesiness round out the midpalate and finish. Medium (+) to high acidity, medium (-) body with supple, slightly oily texture, pretty much dry but with maybe the slightest bit of balancing RS? It's almost hard to tell if it's even there because it's so subtle. Medium (+) alcohol that comes across a little hot but not too distractingly so. Some pretty enjoyable stuff here.

Nice work @Thomas Monroe and @divisionwineco on this fun Chenin. It was awesome. Why did I wait so long to open it?

Still pretty young, but sittin pretty with delicate chamomile and citrus. And acidity to boot. Can't wait to try this vintage in another 6mos. Thank you @Chris Leon @leonandson

Spot on Chenin Blanc from Washington, fresh cut white flowers, green apples, great acidity, a bit of residual sugar but so delicious, isn't it @Pascaline Lepeltier, MS ? :-p
