Darioush - Darius II- cabernet sauvignon 2018. Although it is way over priced, its not a bad cab. This is about 200 dollars over priced at 350 a bottle offered to only a few in the wine club. I am very happy to be able to share this with you all. The color is as opaque as they come. The bouquet is mostly blackberry pie fresh out of the oven. The initial palate is crisp black raspberry, blackberry, and fig. The sudden sharpness overwhelms the mid palate and bleeds into the finish. There is some graphite and oak present in the back ground. The finish is a wee bit sharp, almost sour, and very dry!!! However, I must have another sip. It is very addictive… this gives new meaning to sharp wine tannins. It has a very thick feel in the mouth. I would not buy it again, but boy is it fun to drink!
