Lovely wine- bright medium acidity and loads of fruit to balance the high (14.5%) alcohol. Blackberry, strawberry, raspberry, red currant, sour cherry, blood orange, leather and white pepper notes, all vibrant despite the wine’s being 5 years old. Very well made, and still has the acidity to go a few more years.

Brief notes: A rich and full bodied Grenache from the best district for the varietal in Australia, McLaren Vale, I believe. Raspberry and tar with real grip. Had a second bottle 54 weeks later on 15th February 2023. Unimpressive to be honest. Quite blocky without finesse. Drinks to its price point of $16.95.

Pretty good. Wasn’t sure on opening, super grape-y, like candy on the nose. Settled down and showed good restraint for the ripeness. Good tart cherry, good expression of Grenache.

Mature and so delicious!
Fruit and tannin has mellowed to create an easy drinking delight.

More tannic and savory than many Aussie Grenaches I've had. Nose of raspberry ooze, plums, and that classic Aussie warm sandstone minerality. Leaner and far more tannic on the palate than the nose suggests. Very well done but needs food that will tame the tannins.

NIGHT 2: much more together, especially on the palate. Softer and longer. Nice acidity buoying it up. Upping score to 8.8.

Remarkably restrained and fresh, notably without the oxidative notes that would be part of the package if this was from the Rhone. Less extracted and higher acid than I would have expected. Tasty.

Smokey and balsamic nose. I was getting a lot of eucalyptus. I particularly enjoyed how it's lateral on the palate it has great intensity and good acidity. It pops upon entering your mouth.
