Curvature
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Nice. Soft, round no real edges. Great second bottle for my wife.

Feb 29th, 2020Deep clear ruby with light violet accents in the glass. Very interesting nose here, a bit alluring to be honest. A nice combination of dark chocolate, cassis, and blackberries. There’s spice and oak notes that play a part, as well. As it develops, you’ll get a heavier dose of vanilla and coffee. This is another big, yet nuanced wine from this label. It gracefully sidesteps the danger of becoming a flabby fruitbomb and eases into a smooth pour that still shows some very good power. Rich, but not dense, it provides a slightly more velvety mouthfeel than the 2012. The palate follows the nose closely, with fresh blueberries, blackberries, and chocolate ganache are dominant with toasted oak and dried herbs. Medium to long finish of spice and cherries. Still has years to go before peaking. Really nice stuff.
